Recent years glutathione has been gaining popularity in the beauty and wellness industry due to its numerous health benefits and its role in maintaining skin health and wellness. It has been studied extensively and is considered one of the most important antioxidants in the human body. Recent pandemic, exposure to environmental toxins and chronic diseases, people are becoming more aware of the benefits of several vitamins, minerals and this important molecule.

Glutathione is a tri-peptide molecule made up of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine, generally found in the liver. One of its main functions is combating oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is a condition that is caused by having an imbalance of antioxidants in the body. This condition can cause muscle weakness, fatigue, and is even the pathway to several neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzeimhers. According to the National Library of Medicine GSH (glutathione) detoxifies our bodies from metals and other potential pollutants.

Hence glutathione is considered as the mother of all antioxidants, the master detoxifier.

Glutathione and Men health

Glutathione is in the limelight for its role in skin care. It is known to get you glowing and bright skin with many other benefits. Whether you are a guy or girl your skin would love this super antioxidant. It is used in cosmetics like serum and lotion, also they are available as supplements. Tuskca Glutathione is one of the best quality opitac glutathione in the Indian nutraceutical market. Studies claim if glutathione is taken with vitamin C it becomes more powerful and you get faster and better results.

But how does it help in men's health other than skin benefits? As an antioxidant it protects sperm from damage caused by oxidative stress. Studies have shown that low levels of glutathione in semen are associated with poor sperm quality and male infertility. However, more research is needed to fully understand the role of glutathione in sperm health and male fertility.

Excessive generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by abnormal spermatozoa and contaminating leukocytes has been identified as one of the few clear causes of male infertility. As a result, the role of antioxidants in the treatment of these patients began to be evaluated. Glutathione plays an important role in the antioxidant defense of the spermatogenic epithelium, epididymis, and possibly ejaculated sperm. The use of antioxidants in vitro appears to be valuable for preserving fertility, although clinical data are lacking. Glutathione, administered in vivo to patients who may be infertile due to excessive oxidative stress, acts in the epididymis and during spermatogenesis to improve ejaculatory sperm function. However, no fertility studies have yet been conducted. Controlled studies of glutathione and other antioxidants are needed in patients with defined ROS pathology.

Male sexual dysfunction and infertility issues are common worldwide. It has been seen that alternative medicine gives better results. There are supplements and medicines like Lifezen Healthcare’s Muslizen, which is made with nine Indian herbs specifically for men. It boosts stamina and vitality and improves sperm quality, motility, and fertility in men. These herbs contain aphrodisiac properties, and some are known to be good antioxidants.

Based on some studies, it may be beneficial to evaluate the GSH status of infertile men and consider GSH supplementation as a potential treatment option. However, there is limited evidence on the efficacy of GSH supplementation in improving male fertility. Additionally, the optimal dosage and duration of GSH supplementation are not well-established. Therefore, further research is needed to determine the effectiveness and safety of GSH supplementation in improving male fertility. The good news is glutathione supplements are safe and give you nourishment.
